Tufts Alumni Cape Cod, a chapter of the Tufts University Alumni Association, invites you to its annual Summer Luncheon with Dr. Malik Mufti, Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the International Relations program at Tufts. Dr. Mufti will deliver a presentation.


Dr. Malik Mufti teaches courses on international relations as well as the politics of the Middle East. He received a Ph.D. and an M. A. from Harvard University, an M.A. from Yale University and a B.A. from Middlebury College. In addition to his published books, Professor Mufti has also written shorter pieces on the domestic politics, international relations, and political thought of the Near East. His latest journal article "The Art of Jihad" appeared in History of Political Thought (Summer 2007). His current projects include a comparison of Islamist political movements in Turkey and the Arab world, and a study of the political thought of Ibn Khaldun. He is a recipient of the Lillian and Joseph Leibner Award for Distinguished Teaching and Advising.
