Description

What's the difference between doing your job well and managing your career? The answer may be the number of people who know about your accomplishments, skills, and interests!

“It's not what you know, it's who you know" has taken on a new dimension in today's fast-paced, highly challenging, multi-tasking workplace. Contrary to the statement above, it IS what you know AND who knows about you and your achievements that influence promotions, choice assignments and development opportunities in your workplace and industry.

In this highly interactive session, participants will do the following:
• explore the power of visibility as a career "power tool"
• learn how to tap into alumni groups and professional associations to develop skills and build strong networks
• develop and practice the response to "Tell Me About Yourself" as a critical networking tool
• identify key career visibility strategies and create a list of practical action items that can be immediately applied on the job as well as part of a job search
