Description
Tufts Alumni Cape Cod, a chapter of the Tufts University Alumni Association, invites you to join us for lunch with doctor, historian and author, Dr. Samuel A. Forman. Dr. Forman will talk about his recent book, Dr. Joseph Warren: The Boston Tea Party, Bunker Hill, & the Birth of American Liberty, a biography of Revolutionary War patriot, doctor and hero Joseph Warren, who dispatched Paul Revere on his famous ride and was the hero of the battle of Bunker Hill.
Dr. Forman is a physician, educator, businessman, and local historian. He is the president of Oak and Ivy Health Systems, Inc. and a visiting scientist at the Harvard University School of Public Health. Throughout his successful careers as a physician, military officer, and businessman, he has published and lectured on historical topics that affect current issues. In his spare time he acts as company surgeon of the Lexington Minute Men historical reenactors. He is a member of the Massachusetts Historical Society, Boston Athenaeum, Bostonian Society, and the New England Historic Genealogical Society. He is a member of the American College of Physician Executives, American Medical Association, and Massachusetts Medical Society. Also a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, he has authored numerous papers in the fields of medicine, chronic disease management, toxicology, and history.
