Travel-Learn Program

Cruising Patagonia’s Chilean Fjords

When: October 14, 2018 - October 25, 2018 (iCal)

Description

“I especially enjoyed all the lectures – very informative, as well as entertaining.”

Come get closer to one of the world’s last truly wild places than few travelers ever have. Join us aboard an amazing new expedition ship, the M.V. Ventus Australis, designed to cruise deeper into Chile’s fjords than conventional vessels dare to go. Together, we’ll probe the fjords’ narrow inlets, follow in the wake of Darwin through Beagle Channel, navigate the Strait of Magellan, and sail into Glacier Alley. Our 12-day land and sea journey will also take us from the snow-capped Andes to an award-winning Chilean winery, and from historic Santiago to the “edge of the world” — the very tip of Cape Horn. If we want to explore even more, we can opt for pre- and post-journey extensions to Easter Island and Iguazu Falls.

Space is very limited: Maximum capacity for the M.V. Ventus Australis is just 210 passengers.  For the best selection of staterooms, be sure to book early.
