Description
2010 documentary by Junichi Suzuki features interviews with former veterans of the 442 Regimental Combat Team, the WWII Japanese American army unit, one of the most decorated regiments for its size and length of service in the history of the United States armed forces. They had to overcome numerous challenges to fight, proving their loyalty as Americans. Unfortunately, this regiment also suffered a shocking casualty rate. The documentary also features footage and photos from the Washington National Archives. Following the screening, Susumu Ito, member of the 442nd will speak.
