Description
Join thousands of other volunteers from all parts of Washington, D.C. as we work together to improve our local public schools! In addition to your invaluable "hands-on" volunteer efforts, Hands on D.C. also have a goal to raise $50,000 in individual donations collected by volunteers this year to support local schools and students. Register now and help empower local youth to strive for excellence in the classroom.
This activity will be included in the 150 Acts of Active Citizenship program, running throughout Tufts University Alumni Association’s Sesquicentennial Celebration. Register online before April 30 under the team name “Washington Tufts Alumni” or RSVP to Shail Ghaey, E06, by May 7 at shail.ghaey@alumni.tufts.edu.
Volunteers who raise $50 will receive a free Hands on D.C. t-shirt (donations are not required to participate). Hands on DC will be working with the Washington Tufts Alumni team leader (Shail Ghaey, E06) to assign the team to a school. School assignments will be finalized and sent out in the beginning of May. If you will be bringing a guest that is under the age of 18, please have a parent or guardian sign this waiver and bring it with to the project on May 15.
