Come join Tufts Alumni Houston, a chapter of the Tufts Alumni Association, as it hosts its first InterClub happy hour at Sugarcane, the new organic bar on Washington Avenue!
The Houston Tufts Alliance has been a member of InterClub since January, 2010. The Houston InterClub is an informal "nexus" of Houston Ivy+ alumni groups: Babson, Barnard, UC Berkeley, Brandeis, Brown, University of Chicago, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Mt. Holyoke, Northwestern, Penn, Princeton, Richmond, Smith, Stanford, Tufts, Vassar, Washington University, Wellesley, and Yale.
Sugarcane specializes in organic and locally-sourced mixed cocktails, as well as organic wines and local beers. They will have happy hour specials from 4 – 7 pm, as well as a selection of bar food.
We will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Houston Food Bank. Please consider bringing an item or two to contribute. This activity will be included in the 150 Acts of Active Citizenship program, running throughout Tufts University Alumni Association’s Sesquicentennial Celebration.
