When: Saturday, August 07, 2010, 7:30 pm (iCal)
Description
Join Tufts Alumni Houston for our summer event at the Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park. Come and reconnect with fellow Jumbos, family and friends while enjoying A Midsummer Night’s Dream, one of Shakespeare's most popular and frequently produced plays. There is a strong belief that Shakespeare wrote this work for a wedding feast, but its mixture of fairies and mortals, as well as some of Shakespeare's most memorable verse, makes this classic a universal favorite.
Please bring a picnic dinner and folding chair or blanket and meet us at the front of the lawn area to the left of the center. Look for the Tufts balloons and banner.
Picnic at 7:30 pm
Performance at 8:30 pm
We will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Houston Food Bank. Please consider bringing an item or two to contribute. This activity will be included in the 150 Acts of Active Citizenship program, running throughout Tufts University Alumni Association’s Sesquicentennial Celebration. Further information, as well as a list of other acts taking place around the world, can be found at www.tuftsalumni.org/150acts.
