Description
Join the newly launched TEAM (Tufts Entertainment, Arts & Media) Network for a showing of “MASTER HAROLD …AND THE BOYS”. This powerful play is set in South Africa in the 1950s; it follows 17-year-old Hally and two black servants (Sam and Willie). Tufts alumnus Chris Erric Maddox, A00, stars as Willie. Sam has become a father figure to Hally, helping him with schoolwork, making him a kite, and teaching him important life lessons. Hally ("Master Harold"), upon learning that his tyrannical father is coming home from the hospital, unleashes his fear and anger on his friends. This production has much to say about how racism and bigotry is passed from one generation to the next.
