Description
Few contemporary writers have been able to capture the seductive and terrifying power of violence in the way that Andre Dubus III has in the novels House of Sand and Fog and Garden of Last Days, both of which explore the complicated emotions at the heart of destructive behavior.
Come join Tufts Alumni Los Angeles as Dubus, former Tufts professor, discusses his new memoir, Townie, a riveting, visceral, and profound meditation on physical violence and the failures and triumphs of love. Enjoy a reception at the home of award-winning producer Albert Berger, A79, with your fellow Jumbos, as Dubus reads from his new memoir and shares his stories as an author and professor.
A complimentary copy of Townie will be given to each guest.
