Description
Tufts Alumni of New Jersey, a chapter of the Tufts University Alumni Association, will host our next Commitment to Citizenship event at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) on Saturday, November 13.
This will be our third Tufts volunteer day at CFBNJ and it is fast becoming one of our most popular events. At our previous CFBNJ events, participating Tufts alumni joined together to get the word out about this great organization and its efforts to help over 1,650 charitable agencies in our state fight hunger and poverty.
Once again, we’ll meet for a light breakfast and then get down to work. The CFBNJ is reserving 25 volunteer spots for Tufts alumni for the November 13 shift. We will be assigned to tasks that may include food sorting and shelf stocking with food and school supplies. It is a great opportunity to help our neighbors in need while spending quality time with old and new Tufts friends so come join us!
This activity will be included in the 150 Acts of Active Citizenship program, running throughout Tufts University Alumni Association’s Sesquicentennial Celebration. Further information, as well as a list of other acts taking place around the world, can be found at www.tuftslumni.org/150acts.
