Description
United Way is coordinating a food drive on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Rainier Valley which is located in the southeast corner of Seattle, just north of Columbia City (not that far from I-90). A small, community supported food bank started in 1990, Rainier Valley Food Bank serves over 9,000 low-income and homeless individuals and families each month. Tufts volunteers will come together to sort the food collected in the food drive earlier in the day by a group from the University of Washington.
