Description

Please join Tufts Alumni Los Angeles for a wonderful visit to the Natural History Museum! Friends & family are welcome for a buffet breakfast and private guided tour of the new Dinosaur Hall exhibit including Dinosaur Encounters!

The Natural History Museum describes, “Get up close and personal with three T. rex specimens including Thomas the T. rex, an enormous Triceratops, and a long-necked Mamenchisaurus whose body stretches farther than a bus. Then upstairs, experience what it's like to find fossils out in the field, and study them in the lab. You can become the next great paleontologist — there is still so much to discover!”

Take advantage of this incredible exhibit while you can! Space is limited so register early!

Directions, Parking and Transportation:

Please enter the Museum from the South entrance. This area is adjacent to the Memorial Coliseum. Look for the large Polar Bear signs and follow the directions to the entrance. Once inside, identify yourself as a member of the Tufts Alumni Group & you will be allowed to proceed to the NHM grill on the bottom floor for breakfast.

Parking lots at the museum require cash. The Museum's newly opened Car Park costs $8. If the Museum's Car Park is full, parking is usually also available in the State-run lots on the right hand side for $10.

More information and reviews for Dinosaur Encounters

"Dinosaur Encounters is one of the Natural History Museum's most inspiring and innovative programs, a performing arts-based interpretive program that lets visitors get up close and personal with a realistic, life-sized juvenile T. rex. Terror and laughter exist side by side as the puppet roars, stalks, and bellows through our halls.”

Westways Magazine raved about the entire exhibit saying, “The dinosaur exhibit, installed in a pair of two-story galleries, will put on view more than 300 fossils and 20 fully articulated skeletons. This exhibit numbers right up there with the biggest dinosaur exhibits in the world.”
