"Meeting of the Minds" promises to be an engaging open-forum Cafe Scientifique discussion and debate by two leading authorities in science and philosophy, who will address such varied yet inter-linked issues as:

- Relating neuroscience findings to the concept of self and subjectivity
- Competitive architectures in the brain and how words and other cultural items are similar to software: they are installed in the brain, then permit the brain to engage in new actions
- What can neurological patients teach a philosopher about beliefs?
