Senior Dinner Alumni Host Volunteer Job Description
Volunteer Responsibilities & Expectations:
Alumni host volunteers interact one-on-one with members of the senior class by offering advice or suggestions on such topics as careers, graduate school, job search techniques, finding your first apartment, etc. Some volunteers are asked by the Office of Alumni Relations to speak briefly at the dinners, however, it is not a requirement in order to participate.
The dinners typically last for 2-3 hours. Volunteers are not required to attend multiple dinners, just one date.
Term of Service:
There is no length of term, however, some volunteers choose to participate multiple years.
A series of dinners honoring graduating seniors are held every year in February and March at the President’s House on the Medford/Somerville campus. Alumni host volunteers mix, mingle and network with the students over the course of the evening.
A minimum of six months of work experience is preferred, along with a desire to meet and network with current students.
For more information, please contact Julie O’Connor (Julie.O_Connor@tufts.edu) in the Office of Alumni Relations.
