Everyone Counts Reunion Challenge increases participation among AS&E reunion classes

June 11, 2010

A new fundraising campaign by the Tufts Fund for Arts, Sciences & Engineering has successfully increased participation among reunion classes and resulted in seven new $25,000 term scholarships. In the 30 days leading to Alumni Weekend, May 21-23, more than 500 Tufts graduates supported the Everyone Counts reunion participation challenge.

Seven classes—1955, 1965, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, and 2005—met the challenge by securing 50 new donors from their class before reunion. This fall, a scholarship will be awarded to deserving Tufts students and named in honor of each class.

The initiative started April 21; Mark Alpert, A70, president of Tufts Alumni, was the signatory on the letter mailed to a total of about 7,500 alumni who are celebrating reunions this year (From 1940 to 2005).

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this challenge by either making a gift to Tufts or by asking a classmate to join them in supporting this unique opportunity!
