The Tufts Alumni Council, the governing body of the Tufts University Alumni Association invites nominations for the following:

Alumni Trustees enjoy the same rights, responsibilities, status and influence as Charter Trustees, who are appointed directly by the Board. Trustees' decisions include faculty promotions and tenure, academic affairs, tuition and budgets, diversity, campus services, new buildings, and more.
Alumni Council: 14 candidates to be nominated for 9 positions
Nomination form
Council members serve on committees that work on issues such as career networking, alumni weekend, continuing education, alumni regional activities, and the identification and election of highly qualified candidates to the University's Board of Trustees and the Alumni Council, just to name a few.

Please return nominations by October 18, 2011. Nominations received after this date will be deferred to the next election.

What are the Tufts Alumni elections and when are they held?
The alumni of Tufts elect members of the Alumni Council and Alumni Trustees. Each spring, alumni vote for nine new Alumni Council members, and depending on the status of the Alumni Trustees (how many members have completed their five-year terms), Alumni Trustees are elected as well.
How do alumni vote?
Last year, the Alumni Council implemented an easy and effective online voting system which saw a large increase in the number of alumni who were able to participate. Paper ballots will continue to be accepted as well.
How can I make an Alumni Trustee or Alumni Council nomination?
Simply fill out one of the nomination forms at the top of the page!
