10th Annual P.T. Barnum Awards

On June 9, more than 120 alumni and friends gathered at the Alvin Ailey Studios in New York City to celebrate the 10th annual P.T. Barnum Awards for Excellence in Entertainment: From Ballou to Broadway. Award recipients included actor David Costabile, A89; author, dramatist, and broadcaster Lord Michael Dobbs, F72, FG77; and playwright and director Robert O’Hara, A92. Alumni reconnected over hors d’oeuvres prepared by Top Chef finalist Dave Martin and enjoyed guided tours of the Alvin Ailey Studios.

Who are these award winners? Costabile is best known for his recurring roles on television shows such as The Wire, Flight of the Conchords, Damages, and Breaking Bad; Dobbs is the author of the House of Cards trilogy and is executive producer of the American television series House of Cards; and, O’Hara has written and directed numerous plays and recently released his film writing and directing debut, The Inheritance.
