Peter Gallagher, A77, shares Tufts memories with Chicago alumni
December 18, 2009
On Monday, December 14, members of the Tufts Alumni Chicago chapter attended the final performance of “Don’t Give Up On Me,” a one-man show created and performed by Peter Gallagher, A77. Gallagher developed the show as a backstage glimpse of his experiences working with such actors as James Cagney, Jack Lemmon, Peter O’Toole, Stubby Kaye, and others. These stories were accompanied by standards, Broadway selections, and contemporary songs by Leon Russell, Randy Newman, and Dan Penn. Afterwards, the 20 Jumbos in attendance had the exclusive opportunity to ask Gallagher about his experiences at Tufts and throughout his career. This truly unique event was enjoyed by all.
