Get back in the classroom with Osher LLI

This fall, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) offers a number of exciting opportunities designed to transport you back to the student mindset. For a $50 annual membership fee, you will gain full access to exclusive member benefits, including Lunch and Learn lectures; use of Tisch Library and athletics facilities; admission to the Free Thinkers series; participation in a variety of EDveture activities (book, history, and dine-in clubs); and invitations to specials events not open to the general public.

The fall semester runs from Sept. 12 – Nov. 7.

Course offerings include:

  • Free Thinkers celebrity series – Speakers include bestselling novelist Andre Dubus III (House of Sand and Fog, Townie, Garden of Last Days); award-winning author and former New Yorker correspondent Amy Wilentz (Farewell Fred Voodoo: A Letter from Haiti); and acclaimed physicist and novelist Alan Lightman (Einstein’s Dreams).
  • Lunch and Learn lecture series – David Gregory (author and CNN political analyst; former host of Meet the Press) and Emily Rooney (executive editor and creator of WGBH's Greater Boston and Beat the Press).
  • Study groups – Topics range from “Art: Understanding it, Critiquing it, Acquiring It” to “the World of Wine: From Grape to Glass” to “Singing for Freedom: Music in Protest Movements.”
