Office of Alumni Relations
The Office of Alumni Relations, in collaboration with the Tufts University Alumni Association, works hard to deliver programs, events, benefits, services, and volunteer opportunities to our ever growing constituency of Tufts alumni, now more than 100,000 worldwide.
For many years, Alumni House, located at 95 Talbot Avenue, was our home on campus. Since July 2007, we have been located at our new offices, along with the entire University Advancement division at Tufts, at 80 George Street, Suite 100-3, on the Medford/Somerville campus. Tufts purchased and renovated this building, which was a decommissioned grammar school named for Loren Dame,1860, who was President of the Alumni Association from 1893 to 1896. With modern new facilities and all the necessary amenities expected in a 21st century business environment, alumni volunteers and other visitors will find plenty of meeting space to reconnect with fellow classmates and get to work on important committee assignments.
Our staff works with all of our alumni committees to help organize class reunions for our undergraduate alumni each spring. Homecoming and many other special events open to all alumni of Tufts University occur throughout the year are also orchestrated by our able staff. We serve as liaisons to assist the leaders of our Regional Chapters and Shared Interest Groups and provide linkages to key university departments to engage alumni in active citizenship efforts, student recruitment programs, and continuing education opportunities. We offer a number of volunteer activities for alumni as well.
The alumni association wants all alumni to forge strong lifelong connections to Tufts, beyond their student years. All of our programs, events, services, and benefits, help you
- extend your Tufts education throughout your life
- shape and sustain an institution that shaped you—and that shapes the world
- mentor and strengthen future generations of students and alumni
- connect with dynamic, fascinating, and accomplished peer alumni
- cultivate your career and personal interests
- lead groups and communities to make a difference
