Privacy Policy for Alumni Data

The Tufts University Alumni Association respects your right to privacy. All alumni information is strictly guarded for use by Tufts University and the alumni association for university-related purposes only. Tufts endeavors to use all legally required and industry standard methods to secure alumni data.

The university sends occasional emails to its alumni to make them aware of Tufts news, events, programs, and giving opportunities. In addition, the governing body of the Tufts University Alumni Association—of which all Tufts alumni are members—has occasionally approved partnerships with commercial enterprises who wish to offer services and benefits to Tufts alumni at a discounted rate. Alumni may receive periodic offers from such enterprises, and revenue generated from these affinity partnerships supports alumni programming around the world.

Alumni may at any time opt-out of receiving all emails from the alumni association, or just emails from affinity partners of the association, by clicking on the “update your email subscription preferences” link in emails and following the specified instructions, or by calling 1-800-THE-ALUM (1-800-843-2586) or 617-627-3532, by faxing a request to 617-627-3938, or by mailing a request to Tufts University Alumni Association, 80 George St., Ste. 100-3, Medford, MA 02155.

In addition, Tufts University forbids any third party (except affinity partners selected by the Alumni Council) from using alumni information for any commercial or business marketing. Tufts will take prompt action to enforce any violation of this rule of which it becomes aware.
